HISTORY

Founded in 1836 in the Westphalian town of Warburg, the company inititially traded in textiles and furs. After entering the manufacturing of hats and caps, the focus shifted increasingly towards children's accessories and garments.
The company's strong position in accessories provided the ideal basis for Püttmann's success
in the licencing business. At the same time, the company has increasingly applied its grown expertise in the development and manufacturing
of garments to high quality fashion brands such
as Stummer and Lumberman.
